This looks like so much fun! We might take a trip over to see all the festivities! Thanks for sharing this information.
I am glad I brought it to your attention, Susan.
Hi Jane, This would be beautiful with all the boat lights reflecting in the water! How fun is that, and fireworks too! Sounds like a fantastic Holiday event. I have never seen a nightime boat parade, but would love to.
As usual, you are invited, Mary.
Oooooo looks like fun to be had around the holidays down your way :)
Not as much as in your neck of the woods, I am sure, Celeste.
wow our print went wacky big on that one! - so did you find chilliwack on our gps? :-)
That's Kompozer, Liz. I wrote big because I didn't have much to say. Sorry, but my gps came up with Chile, Chilliwhat and Chilliwho, but but no Chilliwack.
I saw one of these back in the 1980's and it was pretty spectacular then - have fun...
Jane - sorry, a long drive for me, but it looks like a great event - have fun!
Wow, John, you must have been in your pram.
Lori, there are planes :)
I love watching lighted boat parades, Jane! In a waterfront community up here called "Discovery Bay" they have an annual Christmas parade, too...I haven't been to it since the early 2000's, so I hope it's still going on! :)
Leilani
Jane, Not growing up near or being really close to water like this now , that I would LOVE tp see this! Thanks for taking us there via AR.
Oh, Jane, I LOVE that picture! We have one here at the coast in Wilmington (about 2 hours away) that is GORGEOUS during the holiday season - I am always amazed at the creative ideas some of the boat owners come up with. I just wished I lived closer so I could see it every year! Have fun if you go and take more pics!!!
Looks like fun. I didn't know that Santa was such a Yachtsman! I guess even Santa gets a vacation once in a while.
Leilani, I have to admit I've never been to ours. I will make an effort to go this year.
Leesa, I am going to have to take lessons in taking pictures at night. I think I will ask Mike.
Mark, since there's no snow, he has to find another avenue to travel.
Jane, That looks like more fun than ANYHING we will ever have! Now I'm just jealous. That is an oooo-ahhhh parade for sure!
Did you say Dooh Dah Parade, Jane?
Hi Jane, We used to go to the boat parades when we lived in Southern Califonria, and really enjoyed them. Those boat owners really go all out! When we lived in Orange County, we had friends in Huntington Harbour, and we often attended that boat parade too, sitting on our friends' deck. Anyone who hasn't been to one, should go.
Susan, I think I will make the effort this year.
Jane this sounds like a really good time. If I lived out there I know I would be going!
People from out of town always go to the local events in other places, Bill. I will try and make the effort this year.
