Never tell the builder that you really don't care where he puts the garage.

Actually, Richard,  in this case I think I would have told the builder where he can put his garage.

Fred,  I honestly can't think of one single thing.  Maybe I should make it a competition.

In Albany we have homes just like this.  The garage is elevated so that when the snow gets too high, you can still park your car in the garage!!!!

Wow,  Lewis,  what a brilliant idea.  So, in the summer months you just leave your car outside in the sun!

whoa....how does one get into that garage???

In the High Sierras, outhouses are built like this--in the summer you climb up the stairs (or ladder) so in the winter you can ski in and still have use of an outhouse.

But this garage? "HUH" is the ONLY thing to say.

Jane, that reminds me of the mail boxes I've seen way up on a pole for "air mail"!

It's for their flying automobile. You can tell by the roof, that he had a few problems trying to land in the garage. Possibly some turbulance...?

I believe the builder sold the home to the Jetsons.  At least their car will fly.

Jane, I think it should have been a contest and then at the end, you have to come up with a logical explanation other than "huh"....right now, "huh" is the only thing that really works.

A garage door wall simply allows you to have access to the outdoors very easily when the weather is good. Hey, I'm trying here. LOL

James,  you are the second hovercraft mentioner.  A hovercraft wouldn't be able to get that high.  So no! :)

Maybe they just said that they wanted a wall they could open up to the outdoors and this was the solution. :)

Jane, That's too funny. I knew LA people were different, but this blows my mind!

Jane, it's quite obvious what happened here:

1. Evidenced by the marks on the fascia/gutters, this home has been moved from another location.
2. The garage section was one of 4+ different sections that was transported by truck to its new location.
3. The truck driver with the garage got a flat tire...and was the last to arrive, so he had no choice but to plop the garage on top of what was previously the second story!

Leilani, you know, great minds think alike.  That is exactly my theory.

You all need to think a little more creatively - it's actually a perfect garage for a very small helicopter.
