Never tell the builder that you really don't care where he puts the garage.
Okay there must be a story behind this...are you saving it for another post, Great Photo.
Actually, Richard, in this case I think I would have told the builder where he can put his garage.
Fred, I honestly can't think of one single thing. Maybe I should make it a competition.
In Albany we have homes just like this. The garage is elevated so that when the snow gets too high, you can still park your car in the garage!!!!
Wow, Lewis, what a brilliant idea. So, in the summer months you just leave your car outside in the sun!
whoa....how does one get into that garage???
In the High Sierras, outhouses are built like this--in the summer you climb up the stairs (or ladder) so in the winter you can ski in and still have use of an outhouse.
But this garage? "HUH" is the ONLY thing to say.
Jane, that reminds me of the mail boxes I've seen way up on a pole for "air mail"!
Sally, your guess is as good as mine.
Betty & John, LOL
Lottie, I really can't picture elevated outhouses, but whatever works :)
That's one heckuva commute???? Rough parking there!!!!
Hi Jane, The garage of the future, when we all have our PFMs ???
Larry, I guess if you hit the right speed you could jump over the gap and into the garage
Mary, is that something flying machines?
WOA. Speechless is how I am currently rendered. :)
Candice, love the seasonal gear.
Jane,
It's for their flying automobile. You can tell by the roof, that he had a few problems trying to land in the garage. Possibly some turbulance...?
Michael
More like they did not check the height limit for their truck, Michael.
I believe the builder sold the home to the Jetsons. At least their car will fly.
Finally a garage where I can park my hover craft. How much is it?
There must be some cartoon character living there, Dale.
Tammy, I don't even think your hovercraft will lift up that high.
Wow, so does that mean that the view from the garage is really spectacular and the owners wanted an unobstructed covered view, but didn't know how to ask for a veranda?
Yep. This house is definitely upside down.
Jane, I think it should have been a contest and then at the end, you have to come up with a logical explanation other than "huh"....right now, "huh" is the only thing that really works.
A room with a retractable view. How continental ! Let them eat cake.
Jane..you crack me Up...You are really very Funny ....
Hannah
Ed, that's as good an explanation as any.
Carol, you think!
Jane, I should have made it a contest. That would have been funny.
Claude, A backwards retractable view. The view is the other side of the house.
Hannah, thank you, I think :)
PFM (Personal Flying Machine) :-)
Hey, Jane. I guess they have a place to park the plane new. Very Odd, Jim
Jim, That will make for some skillful parking.
Well OBBBVIOUSLY this is the new home for the Jetsons ! ... they have an auto garage door opener and just fly right in !!
Sheesh, that one was easy ....
LOL ! ... I would LOVE to know the REAL story on this one !!!!
Sheldon, I should have knocked on the garage door and asked. Oh wait, I couldn't.
Jane - you have seemed to NAIL the Speechless part of Sunday - are you kidding me? I with some of the others though - perhaps a forward thinking building just planning for the private flying cars to be invented!
Leesa, then most certainly this house is going to be worth a goldmine!
Oh, Jane - ya HAD to PhotoShop this! REALLY? I'm definitely speechless!
Nope. Can't use Photoshop This is real. This was across the street from a house I was looking at on Saturday.
Is this the home of the guy who flies the hover craft for Orbitz?
A garage door wall simply allows you to have access to the outdoors very easily when the weather is good. Hey, I'm trying here. LOL
James, you are the second hovercraft mentioner. A hovercraft wouldn't be able to get that high. So no! :)
Russel, also no! :)
Jane,
Maybe they just said that they wanted a wall they could open up to the outdoors and this was the solution. :)
Steve
Steve, did they also ask for a safety net?
Jane, That's too funny. I knew LA people were different, but this blows my mind!
Jane, it's quite obvious what happened here:
;p
Leilani
Rich, actually, I think these guys are from NM.
Leilani, you know, great minds think alike. That is exactly my theory.
You all need to think a little more creatively - it's actually a perfect garage for a very small helicopter.
I wouldn't expect anything less of you, Jane. :)
Leilani
Rick, now that's just plain silly :)
Leilani, :)
