I was thinking of revamping some of my photos, especially for my Wilshire Corridor posts.
I had taken a bunch of pictures myself on one sunny Sunday, but with my point and click talents I have not done some of the buildings the justice they deserve.
Today a friend of a friend of mine was in town and has been running around taking a picture of anything that moves, and things that don't like walls. I asked my friend if he would be interested in taking pictures of some of the Wilshire Corridor condos for me. He jumped at the chance.
Here are some of the results:

It's always great to get a new perspective-and new photos!
Jane, I do like the photos. It is really hard to take a picture of a tall building in a confined space as it is very hard to get the entire building in the picture and have any size to it. It is difficult to take pictures of high rise buildings!!!!
The one suggestion I would make with your photos is to try and keep the buildings level, Jane. (Sometimes it seems that the buildings have been torpedoed and are listing 20 degrees to port!) ^_~
Michelle, at least a good photographer.
Bruce, I did not take them. If I had taken them they would have been listing to starboard......
Jane, how sweet of your friend to photograph the Wilshire Corridor condos for you! At least now you have a new selection of photos to choose from for your future blog posts. :)
Leilani
Leilani not even my friend. Just a photography fanatic. Thank you for dropping by.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Does Stuart know that you "lean to the right"? ^_~
Say Jane do you know the story behind that, oh so British word, "POSH"?
Great idea, Jane. I like the Ten Five Sixty and La Tour buildings best.
Fabulous new photos for you to use on your blog.............nicely done.
I have been trying to improve my photo skills as well, and the different perspective is fabulous!
Jane, Great shots, and loved your comment back to Bruce! You gave me a flashback to my Navy days :)
These photos are great. Not perfect but great.
Shooting a tall building is not an easy task.
These photos give a majestic feel to the properties.
The outside photos are always more difficult to shoot and I think the only way to shoot them completely level would be from them from the roof of another building.
Keep trying and you and your 'friend' will get better.
Or hire a professional :-)
Good morning Jane,
These are great photos..smart to have taken advantge of his talents..and he had fun to boot! Shooting a tall building is not easy. I like your slide show...good job!
Since humans are very visual by nature, I'm certain these new photos will be viewed with enthusiasm. Great job by your friend for helping you out with these pics, Jane!
Hi Jane, I like these photos and think they're a great addition to your inventory. Nice to have a friend of a friend visiting and taking photos with a new perspective. :-)
If your friend is going to be traveling near Lake Charles, let him know there is another blooger in need of photos!
Well done, Jane!
You've outdone yourself once more! People looking for homes in the Wilshire Corridor surely would work with you, a professional who knows the market.
Well I love them. Why? Because they are taken from the perspective of a pedestrian and they are exactly what someone would see walking down the street. I personally think that photos taken by a pro from a helicopter would render the buildings unrecognizable from a customer/client perspective. But, that's just me!
Bruce, of course I do. Port outbound starboard home :)
John, well the La Tour is beautiful, but then The Wilshire is a classic.
Roger, thank you.
Carol, I am the point and shoot kind.
Bill, and I figured you as a land lubber.
Virginia, nah, I like looking human, frailties and all.
Dorie, thank you. The timing was good on this one.
Craig, yep, I got lucky. I can see me lying on the ground like he did, and one of the buildings threw him out.
Mary, yep, flat on his back. My friend was getting embarrassed.
Jenna, good point. You do get the feel of walking by the building. There are a lot of aerial shots taken that make them seem unapproachable.
Leolinda, thank you kindly.
Mary Kay, he was just in Dallas, but I think he is finished with his travels and off back to Saudi Arabia next week.
Lovely....I need to do some picture taking too, but I'll hit the ground running when I get back from Italy. :)
Karen, I was thinking you could hit the ground running in Italy. Plenty of fodder there. Have a great time.
Hey Jane! It pays to be smart, and have friends with talented friends! Great shots!
Al & Peggy, thank you. It does pay doesn't it.
