Universal Studios' annual Halloween Horror Night is outdoing itself this year. From now until October 31st be prepared to be afraid, very afraid.
There are 5 new mazes depicting scenes for your favorite scary movies: A Nightmare on Elm St., Friday 13th, House of 1000 Corpses (haven't heard of that one), Saw, and Vampyre.
You will wander past the woman who drowned her children and is now back looking for souls to replace them. Take the round trip tram to Skull Island where you will meet a 3D King Kong, pass through Jurassic Park in the Dark, escape (hopefully) the Revenge of the Money, and see The Simpsons (not sure what is scary about them).
You will also have a chance to take a tour of the famous backlot after dark and visit some of the frightening sets normally not open to the general public. This will be part of a 5 hour RIP Experience where you will have your own private guide throughout the evening.
I loved their Survival Guide below:

One of my favorite holidays! Universal is doing it up big! Looks like a lot of fun. Wish I were younger:)
Jane - wow, it's almost worth making a special trip 2 hours north to LA to enjoy. Will be there next weekend...hmmm.
Jeff
Cheryl, oh, I am sure you are way too young for this :)
Jeff, ah hah. No excuses. Get your tickets now.
Jane: I went a few years ago with a group and we all had a lot of fun. We all have to visit that place once to of the H--- scared out of us.
Richard, you are a step ahead of me on that one.
Jane ~ you are in the right place to celebrate. It certainly does sound like Universal Studios is going to have a haunting good event.
Dawn, haunting indeed.
Sounds like the ultimate scare! I'd have nightmares for months if I went there, Couldn't watch Halloween until years later and had to watch it in the daytime half standing out the front door to get away from the TV. I'm just into all the candy :)
Leolinda, how do you know that? Hee, hee, hee.
Carol, I think you'd probably have more of a giggle than a scare.
Jane..that is way too cool...Love it..but I may have a heart attack if I walked through there ..lol

Oooooooohhh, Jane...this event sounds really scary! What do you think...it is more scary or less scary than a hay ride? ;)
Leilani
Mary, are you sure you weren't the one being dragged through? :)
Leilani, I think it is a toss up, but I'm leaning towards the hayride being more scary.
Janice, looks like fun if you like to be scared to death.
Now THAT'S a haunted house! "...screaming and crying is just fine, however" (LOL)
David, we don't all follow your example you know :)
Halloween at Universal Studios? That has got to be the mother of all Halloween events.
Charita, no, I think the West Hollywood Parade is :)
