Love him or hate him, Jon Stewart is a genius. Jane Cross and I were going to go to D.C. to the Rally to Restore Sanity. It didn't work out.
Los Angeles was one of the cities to hold a satellite event. I wasn't sure I could get near enough to find parking. There was plenty, so I popped in for half an hour.
There was not a huge crowd, but it was diverse, and the mood was certainly elevated. I am sure we could have done without the guy running by dressed as a marijuana leaf.

Looks like fun to me. I saw a glimpse of the crowd on the mall and I think there were lots and lots of people. Can't wait to see pics of many of the signs!

I thought John Stewart's speech at the end was brilliant. Whether you're a Teabagger who thinks liberals are destroying the country or a liberal who thinks teabaggers are racist, you need to listen to it. Now turn off your televisions and go DOVETAIL!

Jane, you probably saw more of the rally than I did, and I was there. Well, sort of. I couldn't get close enough to hear more than the National Anthem! It was great!
Pat, I left after half an hour because I thought I would see it on T.V. I had recorded. I was shocked when I found there was a glitch. I hope they re broadcast it. I just watched Cece's link. What a fabulous speech.
