The Brentwood real estate market for single family homes in January is pretty steady.

The number of sales over December is down by 11, but the number under contract is up by 5. The median sales price and median list price are also up.

If you are thinking of buying a Brentwood home, with 7.66 months of inventory, now is a good time to be looking.

January sales are down by 4 and under contract by 10 over December. Median sales and list prices are also down.

This is great information for people in Brentwood / Los Angeles who are looking to purchase or sell a home. Understanding what the "broad" market conditions will give them a "general" view... but to get the BEST information they will need to spend some time with someone like you becuase you really know the SPECIFICS! Jane, The Brentwood Real Estate for single family homes seems to be doing well...that's great news.   Even great news is if I were buying a condo in Brentwood!  Now's the time to buy it seems to get a great deal.  With rates inching up, I suspect buyers will be getting their ducks in a row now to get deals while they are still available.  Nice report, you movie star :)

Jane - either steady or stagnant are both improvements over declining!  Maybe we really are starting to see some stability in local markets.  Your report is certainly something I'd like to see more often in a wider ranges of markets!

Jane, quite an interesting market, but with only 8.13 months of inventory, it looks like your Brentwood real estate is declining a little from the previous months and heading into a great market.

Juli,  it remains to be seen.  Hopefully, this inventory will be sold before the new homes come on the market.

I'm not sure you can tell much by December or January sales, but you've certainly got some interesting price points to work in in Brentwood. Much better than Sacramento, from an agent's perspective.

Hey Janie!  I can't get OVER your low supply!  Of course, if I were a seller, I'd wish it were shorter but, for buyers, now IS the time to grab a piece of Brentwood Los Angeles real estate up while the getting is good!

Jane, would seem to be the time for buyers, especially as the prediction for interest rates to close then end of the year 1 percent higher than this past December. That's a lot less affordability. Great presentation of the material. Love the graph over the photos, very effective
